ChooseMyPlate.gov - We live in an Idiocracy

So the USDA has decided we're either too stupid to understand the food pyramid, or it was too confusing so they came out with My Plate, a simple graphic representation of what should be on our plates...   At first glance it tells the consumer "you're a fat idiot", but on closer examination its revealed that the people at the USDA are the idiots.  This is right out of the movie Idiocracy

Kristin entered her info to "Get Your Personal Daily Food Plan"

This is what she got "The weight you entered is below the healthy range for your height. This may increase your risk for health problems" advertisement for meat/dairy/pharmaceuticals/and unnecessary medical procedures/gym memberships...
The diet to GAIN WEIGHT, note 7 teaspoons of oil a day (280 empty fat calories) then underneath it says limit empty fat calories to 330...

SO then we doubled her weight to see their plan for loosing weight

Now we're very overweight - What to do??

Eat the same way to gain weight as to loss weight...THE Meal plan for Weight loss was the almost the same for Weight gain!  They moved 1 ounce of grain over the protein section and subtracted 40 calories of fat and 200 total calories...  WHAT A JOKE!

I will now show you LEX's Plate for the weight your body is supposed to be...   Its designed for optimal health, no calorie counting, eat as many of these plates you desire.

I was happy to see PROTEIN rather than MEAT, FISH & EGGS. But then there's an entire category for dairy products. Yuck. What bullshit. The Dept of Agriculture needs to stop setting the dietary guidelines for this country. It's so absurd and most americans don't even realize what a conflict of interest this is.

I have come to the conclusion that people don't want to realize the conflict of interest.
