On a recent trip to San Diego we had the fortunate experience of dining at Spread, a fine vegetarian restaurant that serves up local organic eats depending on the daily haul from the farms. The chef is simply amazing and will craft each of the chalk board nightly menu selections to your vegan or Oil Free healthy vegan needs. We started off with the heirloom tomato salad with sweet corn, cranberries and some type of grass. It was delightful with the flavorful vinegar.
The highlight of our evening was the potato tacos. Steamed red potatoes with herbs and hot sauce on fresh corn tortillas! Gourmet healthy tacos to die for!
Our final dish was a Moroccan cous cous, filled with zucchini and spiced to the nines!
Spread is a fun place to go with friends. The dishes are designed to be shared. Even the drink menu depends on seasonal varieties for house made sangria.
